MUG SHOTS...I AM WOMAN/Installation
I started taking photos of women on the 35th anniversary of the Women’s Liberation Movement. Since the start of The Movement women have gone out to the work place in high numbers. I was captured and excited by discovering women in different occupations after taking photos of the “Green Educator.” At this point I was also wondering if these women were happy in their occupations and decided to photo them frontal and profile, in order to depict the multi-dimensional aspects of their being. It has been a wonderful experiment, walking up to women and explaining that I take photos of women in different careers, since the WLM is 35 years old. I want the installation to work with the same honor and pride that the subjects themselves displayed when I asked for their photograph, and why I was taking them.

MURDER IS NOT THE SOLUTION IT IS TIME FOR US TO BE EQUAL AND NOT TO BE RESENTFUL!
